DETAILS AND FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What’s your style of photography?

Timeless documentary with clean strong use of natural lighting. I love capturing moments as they naturally unfold. Whether it be intimate details like sneaky grins and loving gazes, I want to be there to capture it all.

Do we need a second photographer for our wedding day?

You don’t necessarily need a second photographer but there are advantages of having one. For example, second photographer can allow us to photograph in different locations at the same time, such as when both the bride and groom are getting ready. They will also be covering different perspectives to capture all the special moments.

What does an engagement session consist of?

Depending on the package, typically a session consists of an hour at one location of your choice. In addition to getting beautiful pictures, I see this as the perfect opportunity to get to know each other more and build comfort before the wedding day.

When and how will I receive my photos?

Your high-resolution photos will be uploaded to a password protected site and will be available for download for the duration of one year. You can expect to see them in roughly 2-3 weeks for engagement/events or 3-4 weeks for weddings. For a small fee, work can be expedited to within one week. All images will be edited which includes color corrections, enhancements, and/or cropping.

Will you require a contract and retainer?

Yes, all packages will require a contract. After discussing the details and you want to book me for my service then I will start drafting up a contract for your review. A date is not reserved until a contract is signed with a non-refundable retainer payment of 30%.

Are my payments refundable?

Payments and retainers are not refundable. However, they are transferable to family and friends and can be saved for future dates (depending on availability) up to one year.

Who owns the copyright to the photos?

All images captured by me, Tony Zhou, or the 2nd photographer (if applicable) will fall under my copyright and protected by United States Copyright Laws. Clients of Tony Zhou Photography have full rights to print or reproduce the images provided for their personal use only.

Do you have liability insurance?

Of course! I have Certificate of Insurance (COI) and will be happy to submit to your venue if needed.

Do you travel?

YES! I may be based in NYC but excited to travel as far as you need me. Let’s start the conversation and I will be happy to customize a package just for you.

Do you provide other services besides wedding?

Besides engagement and weddings, I also offer services such as maternity, baby showers, family portraits, and parties. Please email me for my rates.
